The Co-extrusion is add-on software application supports composite profiles made of two or more different materials with different colors, typically Aluminum profiles connected by Polyamide (Isolated Thermal material), PVC profiles and Rubber profiles.  The colors of the materials must be clearly distinct in brightness, so that the system can recognize different materials by the contrast between them.

With composite profiles, you can perform most of the operations that you can perform with profiles made of a single material.

The big advantage that this add-On application bring to users of Romidot systems, is by allowing to define and measure all the geometrical dimensions of assembled Aluminum Profiles structure, which includes different types of materials  (the Aluminum profiles have bright color and Polyamide profile are with Dark colors usually ) ,  to measure a single profile that combined from different materials types with different colors (Aluminum profile coating or combined with Rubber) , PVC profile which combined from different PVC colors , or Rubber profile combined from different materials.

There are 2 types of Co-Extrusion modes; Co-extrusion that performs on standard RomiShape or Vision machines , and Co-Extrusion which perform on Romidot RomiShape or Vision machines which including adapted illumination system (2 synchronized illumination types on same machine).

Co-extrusion that performs on standard RomiShape or Vision machines allow the user to acquires the image from multi Aluminum profiles which connected between with Polyimide, the results will present only the Aluminum profiles with the exacts distances and al the defined dimensions between the Aluminum profiles.

Co-Extrusion which perform on Romidot RomiShape or Vision machines which including adapted illumination system, this type of systems allow to measure and generate reports that present all the profiles (colors and different materials) with the related dimensions between the them, and the defined dimensions of the individual profile which produced from homogenous material with different colors.
